Beautiful restaurant, calm and comfy atmosphere and good quality food. The service was nice, everything came out quickly, the quality of the food was high, everything tasted great and the portions were good. However, it’s really pricey in my opinion. Our bill was about 75$ Considering we only ordered one salad, two appetizers, one burger, one pasta dish and two drinks. So with only one protein dish, i find it overpriced. But on a better note, we enjoyed our time nevertheless.
The restaurant atmosphere is very cozy. The indoor area is small, so it may not be comfortable during peak times. The food is very good but a little expensive compared to the portion we had. The service is more than excellent; the staff agreed to swap a dish with another item we ordered by mistake. The outdoor area is quite good. We had steak frites (9/10), Greek salad (10/10), and orange cake (10/10).
It’s been a while since I dined at Berro’s and honestly the experience was decent overall with a few highs and a few things that need fixing. We started with the 16 hour potato with truffle mayo. The potato itself was really good , crispy outside, soft and moist inside but the truffle mayo barely tasted like truffle. The fettuccine bolognese (ragu) had a good rich sauce, maybe a bit too salty, but the main issue was the pasta itself. The fettuccine was broken into small pieces which completely threw off the texture other than that nothing is memorable . The seafood risotto was probably the most interesting dish. Instead of mixing the seafood into the risotto, they served the seafood separately on top, almost pan fried, which actually gave a really nice texture contrast. The risotto itself was clearly cooked in seafood stock and had good flavor. Seafood was perfectly cooked too. Again though, slightly heavy on the salt. For mains, we ordered the steak medium rare and the cooking temperature was honestly perfect. Mashed potatoes were decent. The mushroom and baby tomato side wasn’t good at all, but the steak itself was enjoyable. Service was a bit confusing. It started very slow even though we were only the second table there, but later the place got packed and there was basically one waiter handling everything. Still, the staff were very polite and welcoming the whole time, and it honestly felt like they were making everything fresh, which explains part of the delay. Would I go back? Yes, probably. But they seriously need to calm down with the salt across most of the dishes.
The breakfast was yummy!! Served quickly. The portions are small tbh compared to the price. The service itself was a bit slow if you’re setting in the open air area. Definitely going back to try the lunch menu.
This place is more than perfect in all aspects. The food there is unbelievable with all of its details. Unique, Different and Tasty. It's considered a crime if you miss the PortoKalopita (Greek Orange Cake). Easily Top 3 desserts of all time. You won't get me until you try it. The Corn Ribs as well were unbelievably delicious. May Allah bless the owner and the staff as the service was great. Hopefully you open a better bigger Standalone branch as you wish inshallah.
