Description

A representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo early morning for a 95 km drive to El Fayoum. The tour focuses on Wadi El Rayan Protected Area, designated in 1989, starting with Wadi El Hitan (Valley of the Whales), approximately 90 km from Fayoum.

Wadi El Hitan is recognized by UNESCO for its extensive fossil remains of ancient whales. On the way to the Wadi El Rayan waterfalls, you will stop at Mudawara Mountain, then continue to the waterfalls themselves. The waterfalls formed in 1970 connect two natural lakes and are Egypt’s only waterfalls, located 42 meters below sea level in the Western Desert.

You will also experience sandboarding in the desert near Fayoum. After activities, a late lunch will be served at a local restaurant before returning to Cairo.
