Description

The first day Explore the monuments from the 3rd-6th dynasties with this transfer from Cairo or Giza to the Sakkara area, Egypt's oldest capital of Memphis, and the Giza Pyramid complex. Ride in a private vehicle with bottled water. Enjoy the convenience of pickup from your accommodations in Cairo or Giza. Relax in an air-conditioned car as you make your way to the Sakkara area. Stop in Sakkara where you can purchase entrance to the Necropolis and see the Mastaba-styled tombs. Visit the step Pyramid of Djoser and see pyramids from the 3rd, the 5th, and the 6th dynasties. Take a walk in the desert before heading to Memphis. Purchase tickets to see the remaining monuments, including an alabaster Sphinx, a colossal statue of Ramses II, and the statue of the local God Ptah. Travel to the Giza Pyramid complex and see the 4th dynasty pyramids of Cheops, Khaphren, and Mychreanos. Admire the great Sphinx statue and take the opportunity to enjoy an optional camel ride before heading back to your accommodations in Cairo or Giza. The second day Visit the Egyptian Museum, with more than 100,000 monuments and artifacts included in the exhibitions. Allow your guide to describe the masterpieces of the three kingdoms during ancient Egyptian times. Watch the original pieces of monuments. Visit the King Tut collection on the second floor, discover all about ancient Egyptian history, their artifacts, and symbols. Walk around, explore, and take the best photos. Visit the second Museum, which is the National Museum of Civilization. Inaugurated in 2020 with its highlight collection of the royal Mummies, watch the most famous Pharaohs Mummies such as Ramses II and Thoutmosis III, learn about the Pharaoh's history and about the Mummification process. Then, find yourself at the Coptic Cairo churches: the Hanging church built upon an old Roman tower, the Saint Bacchus church where the holy family have stayed for three months, and St Barbara Church. Discover these religious buildings from the 4th and 5th centuries AD and get to know more about the beginning of Christianity in Egypt.
