Church of St. Mark: Participants will then visit the Church of St. Mark, which holds the distinction of being the oldest church in Africa. This visit likely provides insights into the religious history of the region and the significance of this historic church.Then We will walk by the excavation site of the Old Roman City of Alexandria, including Roman villas, the Amphitheater Ruins, Alexandria's Great Tomb excavation site, and various ruins. Please note that its not allowed visiting inside these excavation sites but will enjoy an external view while our guide shares insights into their historical significance. Old Downtown: The tour continues to the old downtown area of Alexandria. Here, participants can explore traditional markets where a variety of goods are sold, offering a glimpse into the local way of life and commerce. Optional lunch stop at a modern Fish Restaurant or a famous and traditional Alexandrian food place called Mohamed Ahmed's. The Queen of Spain and many famous people go there when they visit Alexandria. Afternoon Itinerary: In the afternoon, the tour covers various landmarks and attractions, including: Women's Markets and Gold Market: A visit to the city's oldest market area, including the gold market where wedding jewelry is sold, and the women's markets. You will also drive by Abbo Elabbas Mosque (Photo stop) the prettiest and biggest mosque in the city: the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, and the strangest sight outside it: an old funfair where children play on very antique funfair rides and eat candy floss Ancient Fun-Fair: An ancient fun-fair located near the mosque, providing insights into local recreational traditions. Quaitbay Castle: A visit to Quaitbay Castle, followed by the Memorial of the Unknown Soldier and a walk along the corniche.
