The location is in the heart of Cairo and the stay was comfortable and quiet. Everything was clean and the staff were awesome and very helpful! If you’re looking for an affordable, clean, and comfortable stay, this is the one✨
I have mixed feelings about my stay. I stayed here for 5 days. I have booking proof. Pros: Decent room, comfortable bed Delicious breakfast Great location Amazing view of the nile Great stable WIFI Sorta good hospitality and service (a few concerns noted below) Cons: AC/heater not working Staff were quite pushy - I was asked to give a review almost everyday even on my way out. How can I give a review if I didn't finish my stay? It wouldn't be honest. Also one of the staff, Abdul, although a kind man, kept trying to get me to buy items from his sister's shop. He persisted even when I told him "لا، شكراً" "No, thank you" many times. I believe we had a miscommunication. I don't blame him but I felt very uncomfortable and at times I didn't want to go back to my hotel. He even knocked on my door when I came back at 10/11pm! I was exhuasted and wanted some rest and I wished he would respect that. He did apologize. I understand this is normal in Egypt as it's a result of their economy. But I chose this hotel because of all the prior good reviews(from 2 weeks ago). I wanted to get away from the noise and daily harrassment from the streets. As the staff kept asking me almost everyday to post a Google review, here it is.
My stay at Nile X Hostel was exceptional. Huge thanks to Kareem and Mo Saleh for their fantastic hospitality—they truly made my trip memorable. The hostel is perfectly located with beautiful views of the Nile River. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need. For the price, the value is outstanding. I would 100% recommend Nile X to anyone visiting Cairo. You will not regret choosing this place and will probably end up planning your next trip back, just like I am!
