Description

Your guide will meet you at Alexandria port holding a sign with your name. Then, you will travel by private, air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo, a journey of approximately two and a half hours. Cold water is provided during the drive.

Begin your tour with an expert guide at the Giza Pyramid complex. Explore Khufu’s pyramid complex, which includes a valley temple buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman with diabase paving and limestone walls. Khafre’s complex features the valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid, home to several statues found by archaeologist Mariette in 1860. Menkaure’s complex includes a valley temple, causeway, mortuary temple, and three subsidiary pyramids, completed around 2510 BC.

The Great Sphinx, dating from King Khafre’s reign, features additions from later rulers including a temple dedicated by Amenhotep II.
