Description

Upon your arrival at El Sokhna port, a tour manager from Sun Pyramids Tours will meet you holding a sign with your name. You will be transferred to Cairo by private air-conditioned vehicle, with the option to stop and rest during the approximately three-hour drive.

Your exploration begins in Old Cairo, also called Christian Coptic Cairo, an area of deep spiritual significance. This was the refuge of the Holy Family, who found sanctuary in a cave later marked by the Church of Abu Serga (St Sergius). The surrounding Babylon Fortress remains a pilgrimage site for many Egyptians and Christians worldwide.

You will visit the Church of Abu Serga, St. Barbara, the Hanging Church, and the ancient Ben Ezra Synagogue. A local restaurant serves lunch after your visits.

The tour continues to the Citadel of Cairo, home to the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali. Next, you will explore Khan El Khalili Bazaar and El Moez Le Din Allah Street, lined with monuments such as Bab El Fetouh and Bab El Nasr.

In the northern quarter of Islamic Cairo, El Darb El Asfar, you will visit significant monuments including the Barqouq Mosque and School, El Aqmar Mosque, Mosque of El Saleh Tala, the Blue Mosque, the Dome, and the Hospital and School of Qalawoon.
