Description
Your Cairo hotel pickup is at 07:00 am to begin a scenic 95 km drive to El Fayoum. The first day focuses on Wadi El Rayan Protected Area, including Wadi Hitan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site housing 40 million-year-old whale fossils.
Next, visit Mudawara Mountain before seeing Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls, located 42 meters below sea level and connecting two desert lakes formed by farmland drainage water since 1970.
At Magic Lake, explore by small boat and try sandboarding on the surrounding dunes. The day ends with camping in the desert, including lunch and dinner.
On day two, enjoy sunrise and breakfast at the camp. Return to Cairo in a comfortable vehicle. Optional visits to Qasr Al Rahala, Qusur El Arab, and Watermelon Valley are available before the transfer.
You may opt to stay overnight at an El Fayoum hotel instead of camping for an additional fee. Transfers from Cairo airport, New Administrative Capital, and various city locations incur extra charges.
