Description
Day 1: Upon arrival at Alexandria Port, your guide will meet you holding a sign with your name. From the start, you receive dedicated attention. Travel to the Great Pyramids of Giza, part of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Enjoy panoramic views of the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus, then visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple with various photo stops along the way. Lunch is served at a local restaurant.
After lunch, explore Cairo with a panoramic photo stop overlooking the city and the Nile River. Continue to the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, home to over 250,000 artifacts, including Tutankhamen’s treasures dating back more than 3,500 years. Experience the papyrus-making process at a local factory, where craftsmen demonstrate traditional papyrus production and hieroglyph inscriptions. Engage with experts preserving this ancient art.
At the end of the day, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
Day 2: After breakfast, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to begin the second day of touring Old Cairo. Visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Then visit the Citadel of Salah El Din, built in the 12th century, and the Mohamed Ali Mosque, known for its alabaster design in Turkish style, similar to Istanbul’s Blue Mosque.
Return to Alexandria with photo stops at the Library of Alexandria and the lighthouse. Arrive back at the port two hours before your cruise departure for a smooth boarding experience. Customized itineraries can be arranged upon request.
