Description
The tour starts at 07:00 AM with hotel pickup in Cairo or Giza by a private air-conditioned vehicle driven by a professional guide. The drive to Alexandria covers approximately 220 km and takes around 3 hours.
Upon arrival at 10:00 AM, visit the Roman Theater, featuring marble seats for up to 800 spectators, galleries, mosaic flooring sections, and a pleasure garden surrounded by Roman villas and baths.
Next, explore the Catacomb of Kom El-Shoqafa, an extensive burial site on three levels. The catacombs include the Tri-cilium, where relatives sat on stone benches to feast in honor of the dead, and reliefs of bearded serpents. Inside are 2nd-century AD statues of the gods Sobek and Anubis wearing Roman armor.
The tour continues with visits to the Alexandria Library, the Qaitbay Citadel, and El Mursi Abu Elabas Mosque.
