Itinerary

Day 1: Early morning pickup at 3:30 am from your Cairo hotel for transfer to the domestic airport and flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, a private air-conditioned vehicle will take you to Luxor’s west bank to visit:

  • The Valley of the Kings, burial site of pharaohs including Tutankhamun, Thutmose, Ramesses VI, Merenptah, and Amenhotep
  • The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el-Bahari), built by the female pharaoh of the 18th dynasty
  • Medinat Habu, an archaeological site at the foot of the Theban hills
  • Deir el-Medina, the ancient artisan village responsible for tomb decorations
  • The Valley of the Queens, burial place for queens, princes, princesses, and nobility from the 18th to 20th dynasties
  • The Colossi of Memnon, two giant stone statues remaining from a mortuary temple

Lunch is included at a local restaurant. The day concludes with transfer back to your hotel.

Day 2: At 10:00 am, pickup from your Luxor hotel and transfer to the east bank to visit:

  • Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex dedicated to gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu
  • Luxor Temple, constructed by Amenhotep III and completed by Ramesses II

After the visits, transfer to the domestic airport for your flight back to Cairo. On arrival, a local representative will assist with transfer to your hotel.
