Description
A representative from Sun Pyramids Tours will pick you up from your Cairo hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Transfer to the Cairo Citadel of Salah El Din to visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque, famed for its alabaster exterior walls.
Next, visit the Sultan Hassan Mosque, established in 1356 A.D. as both a mosque and an educational center for the four Sunni schools of thought: Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanafi, and Hanbali.
Then drive to the Al-Azhar Mosque, built in 970 by Fatimid Caliph Al-Mu'izz li-Din Allah. It is the oldest mosque in Cairo, named after Fatimah Az-Zahr, daughter of the Prophet Muhammad. Note that Al-Azhar Mosque is closed on Fridays and open only during prayer times on other days.
The tour continues to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, known for its wide variety of local crafts and goods, including brassware, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, and antiques.
Your guide will conclude the tour with a drop-off at your hotel in Cairo.
