During our trip, we stayed at six hotels in different cities in Egypt, and this hotel is the best in its price range! It's perfectly located downtown – close to lots of cafes and restaurants, Cairo's most fashionable streets with European architecture, and two metro stations. The hotel itself is on the 7th floor and looks very nice and fresh – it's clear it was recently renovated. The staff are very friendly and pleasant, always ready to help! Our flight from Aswan was delayed, and we didn't arrive at the hotel until 2:00 AM to check in. We were graciously greeted at reception, and a boy from the kitchen even came and brought us drinks so we could relax in the lobby while the receptionist processed our paperwork. We were quite annoying guests – first, our friend needed a place to stay for the evening, as his bus from Cairo wasn't until 1:00 AM, and the hotel staff kindly allowed him to rest in the hotel lobby. Then we needed to buy tickets to the new Grand Egyptian Museum, but they only accepted cards, which we didn't have. We asked reception to buy tickets online, and they helped us! Plus, my friend and I are from Tatarstan so we love to drink tea A LOT, so every day, even at midnight or later, we asked for tea—and there was always a hotel staff member awake at reception who kindly made it for us. The room, like the rest of the hotel, was very clean. The beds were comfortable, there was a large closet with hangers and shelves, a nightstand and two nightlights, a TV, and good Wi-Fi. We had an en suite bathroom with hot water (not all hotels have that!)). Thank you very much to the hotel staff for the warm welcome!

Food is good, room is ok but needs some improvement as carpet mat was very dirty and full of dust, window handles are broken, tv doesn't work. Also location is bit hard to find, the map location is incorrect. It's in front of mc Donald's. Also this hotel is inside another business building and hotel board sign is small too. But staff is polite and helpful.

I stayed one night at Montana Hotel Downtown Cairo. The location is excellent and the online reviews were quite positive, so I booked a room with a private bathroom that was advertised as having a city view. To my surprise, the room had no windows or balcony at all—there was absolutely no view. This was the first thing I noticed upon entering, but since it was only a one-night stay, I chose not to raise the issue with the staff. The room itself was very basic and lacked several amenities listed in the description. It was old but clean, and it did have a fridge and an air conditioner. Breakfast was extremely basic: one boiled egg, a slice of cheese, jam, and French fries. Only one staff member was responsible for both serving breakfast and cleaning. Overall, the breakfast is not worth adding to your stay—there are far better options nearby. In summary, the location is good, but the overall experience doesn’t match what is advertised. I would recommend looking at other hotels in the area for better value and comfort.
