Simply the best fish I've ever had! 🤯 I come from South Africa and we live on the coast with really great fish, but this was next level. Freshest fish from Alexandria. Had grilled Seabass and prawns. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great seafood in Cairo. Shout out to Adel Zadane, was a great host and went out of his way to show us the fresh fish and how the ordering etc. works
A wonderful fish restaurant along the Nile in Cairo, offering beautifully fresh seafood prepared with excellent seasoning and care. Everything we tasted was flavourful and impeccably fresh. The pink caviar, however, was slightly disappointing, as it carried a somewhat chemical taste and lacked the delicacy one would expect. The service was swift and very respectful. Plates were cleared promptly, perhaps a little too promptly at times, as they were taken the moment one was empty but always with good intentions and professionalism. The spacious tables provide comfort, and the traditional handwashing service at the table is a thoughtful and practical touch. A lovely dining experience and certainly a place I would recommend when in Cairo!!
Family dinner that included several types of grilled crab, shrimp, seafood, seafood shorba (soup) and mixed seafood rice. Overall fresh seafood was good. Red snapper was overcooked and dry and crabs were light on the nest. Besides this, everything was great.
We spent an amazing time here with our family! The seafood was incredibly fresh — from the grilled crabs to the prawns and rice dishes, everything tasted like real Egyptian hospitality on a plate. The atmosphere was relaxed and lively, perfect for a family lunch. The staff and the manager were truly professional, kind, and attentive. They made us feel welcome from the first minute and even arranged a private Nile boat tour for us after the meal — such a special touch that completed the whole experience. If you’re in Cairo and want authentic seafood with top-notch service, Seagull in Dokki is a must-visit. 🌊🦐🦀✨ Highly recommended!
Great seafood. My friend had the open grilled mullet fished from the White Sea off of Alexandria and it was really delicious. Perfectly cooked, seasoned and not fishy at all. My seafood pasta was also delicious and not too heavy with the white sauce. Excellent hummus. Be assertive when asking for service otherwise it’s very slow paced eating. They don’t rush you out the door. Manager Mohammed El Alaby was very attentive and kind.
