Great location without the Giza madness and hassle. The staff are all incredibly helpful, polite and nice. I booked my driver (Rami) and guide (Emy) through the main hotel (President Hotel, right next door). Mahmoud, the tour coordinator with the hotel was great in communicating in the weeks before my arrival. He was clear about options and prices. I was very fortunate to have Rami and Emy for 3 full day tours (Giza, Saqqara and Old Cairo), they were absolutely fantastic and made my visit to Cairo easy, fun and memorable! Thanks to everybody at New Presidents for a great trip!
At one point, I was inclined to give this hotel a one-star rating, but the consistently professional service changed my mind. Special thanks to Nada from housekeeping—she is attentive, proactive, and always greets guests with a cheerful smile. The facility is new and very clean. Towels are of good quality, and the bed sheets are spotless. The bed and pillows are also very comfortable. While the breakfast price is relatively high by local standards, it is reasonable considering the quality and variety of the buffet. We often slept with the windows open to enjoy the pleasant breeze, and the quiet location made this possible. The only noise we noticed was around 8:00 am, likely from nearby schoolchildren. There are many coffee shops within walking distance that stay open until midnight, as well as several nearby attractions. On the downside, there were a couple of safety-related concerns. There is a protruding step that I nearly tripped over, which even damaged my new tennis shoes. Additionally, a cabinet drawer tends to slide open on its own and sits directly in the path between the bed and the bathroom, posing a potential hazard if not noticed. See pictures Another drawback is the lack of comfortable seating in the room. There is no sofa or couch, and the available chairs are not particularly comfortable.
The room was large and seemed clean, and there was space in the mini fridge to put a couple of drinks. It's a great location, safe to walk around and close to restaurants. If you go right out of the hotel there's a bodega a block away. The staff were all very nice. A negative is that the A/C wouldn't go below 22°C which was frustrating.
Best for: Solo travelers, quick layovers, walkable dinners, and getting a massive room for a steal. Food: The real secret sauce is the restaurant at their sister hotel’s restaurant on the top floor—it’s sleek, modern, and the food actually hits the spot. Service: Low-maintenance and helpful. They make the check-in process a breeze so you can get straight to exploring or napping. Atmosphere: Located in Zamalek, which is basically the "safe, cool kid" neighborhood of Cairo. You can actually walk around here at night without a worry, which is a huge plus in a city this chaotic. Closing: It’s the ultimate 1-2 night stopover spot—spacious, safe, and just a quick Uber away from the Egyptian Museum. Total bang for your buck! 🇪🇬🛌
