Amazing Lamb koftas (should have ordered more) and fresh guava juice. Also a very beautiful interior and garden.
The restaurant was beautiful in terms of decor and atmosphere. It was calm and relaxing, which made the overall experience very enjoyable. The food was delicious and clearly prepared with care. However, there are a couple of downsides. The prices were quite high, and there was an added tax on every item on the menu, which made the final bill higher than expected. Overall, it was a good experience, but pricing could definitely be improved.
Probably the best restaurant I’ve eaten at so far since living in Egypt. I live in Alexandria, and even though I know the local cuisine well, here in Cairo I found a truly outstanding local restaurant, definitely among the best. The food was excellent, with authentic flavors and beautifully prepared dishes — the bread was absolutely delicious. The service was perfect, attentive and professional, and the pleasant, relaxed atmosphere made the experience even more special. Everything was magnificent. Highly recommended.
Stopped in for a cappucino after visiting the churches and enjoying the Souk. This place is really cute. It’s exactly what you’re likely looking for in a coffee shop to rest, reflect and chat. There is indoors and outdoors. Lots of adorable chatchkis. Pricing is fine for tourists. Not cheap but not fleecing you either. They do charge tax here. Anywho, it was cold and I am happy.
If I could give this place 100 stars, I absolutely would. Our experience here was nothing short of extraordinary. The traditional food, the heartfelt service, and the warm, authentic atmosphere are exactly what make this restaurant so special. Our waiter Mohamed felt more like a friend than a server. He added thoughtful touches to the dishes we ordered—small adjustments that made a huge difference, especially in catering to my wife, who is pure vegetarian. His care and attention took the entire meal to another level. And the bread… THE BREAD. Watching two women preparing it fresh in the outdoor brick oven was an experience in itself. The flavor, the texture—just wow. Truly one of the highlights of our entire trip to Cairo. Pair that with the fresh juices (some of the best we’ve ever had), and you’ve got a meal we’ll be talking about for years. We loved it so much we went back a second time. That should tell you everything. This restaurant isn’t just a meal—it’s a memory. An absolute must-visit in Cairo!
