I tried breakfast and lunch at the New Giza branch, and the view was amazing. The quality and delicious taste of the food and desserts were perfect. The staff was friendly and welcoming, especially Gamal Refaat, who was awesome. Thank you 👏🏻👌🏻
I visited Izmir Saray based on a friend’s recommendation, as they spoke very highly of it. Unfortunately, my experience was quite bad. When we first arrived, we were greeted and asked whether we preferred to sit indoors or outdoors. We chose an outdoor table, but upon sitting down, I noticed that it hadn’t been cleaned properly after the previous guests. I had to wait until the waiter came to take our order to ask him to clean it. While placing our order, the waiter’s behavior was disappointing. Although he was standing at our table, he seemed distracted—constantly calling out to colleagues and focusing on other tables. Every time my husband tried to speak, the waiter would lose focus mid-conversation and then return to us. It felt unprofessional and somewhat disrespectful. We also noticed that he seemed to give more attention to larger groups, which was confusing. When the food finally arrived, it was clear that it had been sitting for a while at the pickup area before being served, as it was completely cold. The quality itself was good, but serving it cold really affected the experience. My dish was supposed to include two types of kofta—one spicy and one non-spicy—but both turned out to be non-spicy. The fries were also undercooked and not properly crisped. We asked for a replacement, and although the waiter did bring another batch, it had the same issue. Another point that stood out was the lack of organization among the staff. One of the servers seemed confused, walking around with dishes and repeatedly circling the area trying to figure out which table to serve. He even went back and forth multiple times with our fries before finally bringing them to us. This gave the impression that the team was not well coordinated. After finishing our meal, we asked for the bill and also requested napkins, wet wipes, and toothpicks. However, the waiter only brought the bill and ignored the rest of our request—even though these are basic items usually offered after a meal. We noticed again that other tables were receiving better service. Eventually, we had to ask a different waiter, who did bring everything we needed. Considering that the prices are relatively high, we were expecting a much better level of service to match the cost. On our way out, the host who welcomed us noticed that we seemed unhappy and asked about our experience. I explained everything, and he apologized sincerely and assured me that they would work on improving these issues. Overall, the food quality has potential, but the service and organization need significant improvement to match the expectations.

We had a wonderful experience at Izmir Restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cairo (ask for our waiter Mohammed he was the best). From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine kindness, and the ambiance and atmosphere were simply outstanding. The restaurant is beautifully located, offering a magnificent view of Cairo, which makes the dining experience even more special. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including hummus and other mezze, all of which were excellent. The lentil soup and the grill are highly recommended, but the true star of the meal was the sarma—the rice was perfectly cooked and delicately wrapped in grape leaves, absolutely delicious. Dessert, tea, and coffee were also top quality and a perfect way to end the meal. Combined with the warm, attentive service and exceptional food, this restaurant truly stands out. Would happily return again.
Very good turkish restaurant in New Giza with a wide range of turkish dishes on the menu. Staff is friendly and efficient, food is very good and the restaurant has a nice veranda terrace from which you have a nice view over greater Cairo. Can't go wrong with this place.
