Asmak Seafood Restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and the waiters were honestly amazing super friendly and attentive throughout the whole experience. The food was a mix of great and average dishes. The shrimp was definitely the star of the meal (10/10), very fresh and perfectly cooked. The crab was also really good (8/10), as well as the baba ghanouj and tahini sauce (both 8/10). The fish was acceptable but nothing special (6/10), while the seafood soup was disappointing (3/10). The biggest issue is the pricing. The total was around 2600 EGP for one person, which feels extremely overpriced for a seafood restaurant in Cairo considering the overall quality. Good experience overall because of the atmosphere and service, but the value for money is not there.
Asmak Restaurant is one of my go-to places for seafood in Cairo. The food is consistently amazing, everything is cooked to perfection, fresh, flavorful, and done properly every time. The service is also very good. Hosts are always available, attentive and genuinely on the lookout for guests. They guide you properly from arrival until you’re fully settled, which makes the whole experience smooth and comfortable. It’s one of those places where both the food and the service stay consistent, which is exactly why I keep going back. A reliable and genuinely enjoyable seafood spot in Cairo.
Fantastic experience in Cairo. Very good seafood restaurant. A fish market at the entrance you pick the seafood and the way of cooking. The complimentary lemon mint juice is refreshing. The butter fried king prawns are very tasty. Grill Sea bass is very authentically flavored and tender. The restaurant is right at the Nile. The environment is very nice! Good value for the money!
