Explore the history of the Copts religion by visiting cathedrals in Alexandria dedicated to three personalities who have played a major role in its progress. Start at Saint Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral, the historical seat of the Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria. Then, head to Martyr Mina Church where, in 1946, the foundation stone of the great Martyr Marmina Church in Fleming was celebrated. The assembly designated a metal medal for the occasion and immediately thereafter the construction of the church began with determination until the completion of the church. Take a short break for lunch at a local restaurant before your final stop at The Church of the Virgin Mary and St. George. Learn the history of the former cattle barn then at the end of the trip, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.
