Description

The Holy Family Path tour takes you on a journey to explore the Christian heritage and history in Egypt. Here's a detailed description of each day of the tour: Day 1: Arrival in Cairo Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Cairo. You will spend the night at the hotel, with bed and Dinner included. Day 2: Hanging Church and St. Georges Church After breakfast, you will start your day with a visit to the Hanging Church and St. Georges Church, both located in Old Cairo. The Hanging Church is one of the oldest and most important churches in Cairo, dating back to the 7th century. St. Georges Church is another beautiful Coptic Orthodox church, built in the 10th century. You will also make a special visit to the holy tree of St. Mary and the Historical Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Mostorod. You will then return to your hotel in Cairo for the night. Day 3: St. Marie Church in Maadi and St. Simon Church Carved into the Mountain After breakfast, you will visit St. Marie Church in Maadi, a modern church built in the 1960s. You will then visit St. Simon Church, also known as the Cave Church, which is carved into the mountain in the Mokattam area. This church is known for its unique architecture and beautiful interior design. You will return to your hotel in Cairo for the night. Day 4: Alexandria After breakfast, you will travel to Alexandria to visit the Alexandria Main Cathedral, the largest cathedral in Egypt. You will also visit the Quaitbay Citadel, a 15th-century fortress that was built on the site of the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria. You will then visit the Roman Amphitheater, which dates back to the 4th century AD. Finally, you will visit the Alexandria Library, one of the largest and most modern libraries in the world. You will have some time to relax and enjoy the city before returning to your hotel in Cairo for the night. You also have an option for a trip to visit the Pyramids and Sphinx if you wish to do so.Day 5: Visiting the pyramids We will visit the pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum Day 6: Monasteries of Syrian, Baramous, and St. Bishoy After breakfast, you will visit the Monastery of Syrian, located in Wadi El Natrun. This monastery was built in the 4th century and is home to some of the oldest churches in Egypt. You will then visit the Monastery of Baramous, which is located in the Western Desert and is known for its beautiful architecture and peaceful atmosphere. Finally, you will visit the Monastery of St. Bishoy, which is one of the most important monasteries in Egypt and is dedicated to the famous Coptic saint, St. Bishoy. You will return to your hotel in Cairo for the night. Day 7: Final Departure After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and our representative will transfer you to the airport for your final departure.
