Day 01: Journey to the Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum From the moment you set foot in Alexandria Port, our agents will welcome you with our Meet and Greet service, holding a sign with your name. You will then be transferred via an air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo, a scenic drive of 3 hours, with a stop if needed to rest. In Cairo, you'll explore the iconic Pyramids of Giza, marvel at the Great Sphinx, a massive statue with the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion, dating back to the time of Chephren. Your exploration continues with a visit to the Valley Temple, part of the pyramid complex of Chephren. Next, you’ll visit the Egyptian Museum, home to a vast collection of artifacts from the Pharaonic period, including 250,000 artifacts dating back 5,000 years. After a day of history and discovery, you'll enjoy an authentic lunch at a local restaurant before being driven to your hotel. Optional tours include a two-hour dinner cruise on the Nile or a Sound and Light show at the Giza Pyramids area. Day 02: Exploring Alexandria After breakfast at the hotel, you'll be transferred to Alexandria in an air-conditioned vehicle. In Alexandria, you'll visit the Catacombs, a significant Roman Cemetery dating back to the early Roman period, discovered in 1900 after a 12-year quest. You'll continue to the Qaitbay Citadel, situated at the exact location of the famous Lighthouse. You'll be able to explore the inside of the Alexandria Library. As the evening descends, your guide will accompany you back to your cruise ship at Alexandria port.
