We visited this restaurant as a group of five, and I want to start by saying that the food was exceptional. The drinks and desserts were good, the atmosphere was lovely, and the large TV showing Premier League football was a nice touch. However, I feel compelled to highlight the very disappointing service, because some of the staff’s behaviour left me feeling genuinely disrespected. I will let you judge the following: 1. Our drinks were brought without a straw. I asked for one five times over approximately 15 minutes. On the fifth request, I jokingly offered to pay for a straw. Only then did the waiter bring one. Whether this was carelessness or something more deliberate, it was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. 2. Dessert arrived before the meal. We added a cake to our dessert order, yet the cake was brought before our food and drinks. This demonstrates a serious lack of coordination and basic service standards. Whether this comes down to poor training, poor management, or simple carelessness, it should not happen. 3. Rice was missing from two kofta meals. I ordered two kofta meals, both of which clearly stated that they were served with rice. Neither came with rice. We were initially confused because the meals arrived with only a few pieces of bread. I repeatedly tried to get the staff’s attention, but they seemed unfocused with no leadership. 4. I later went to the till to order another kofta meal to take away for my brother. I asked whether the meal came with rice, and the waiter confirmed that it did. I explained that the two meals we had already ordered had arrived without it. As we were almost finished, I made it clear that I did not want the rice anymore, I simply wanted to bring the mistake to their attention. The gentleman at the till burst out laughing. I found this insulting and completely inappropriate. A customer raising a legitimate concern should be met with professionalism, not laughter. 5. Items we never ordered were added to the bill. The same gentleman then prepared our bill. I noticed that it contained three extra bottles of water and an additional pizza, none of which we had ordered. I pointed this out and the bill was corrected. He then spoke to the waiter, and, interestingly, the laughter stopped. *i paid full price for the kofta meals despite the missing items. Staff had no interest in offering a discount or apology for the mistake. Due to this i strongly urge customers who visit this place to check your bill before paying. Look out for increased quantities and extra items. It could possibly be a mistake but with the behavioural patterns highlighted above, i am unsure. Final thoughts As a foreign customer, this was not a particularly good experience. The restaurant has excellent food and a lovely atmosphere, but the service seriously undermines it. Some staff clearly work hard, while others appear to be far too casual and seem to treat the restaurant like a place to joke around rather than a professional establishment. I strongly urge the owner and management to review the staff, improve supervision, and provide proper customer-service training. Customers are simply asking to be treated with respect, receive what they ordered, and receive an accurate bill. You have a restaurant with great potential. Do not allow poor service and unprofessional behaviour from certain staff members to ruin an otherwise excellent dining experience.
Food was great we ordered take out and I asked if the food will be ready in 30min and they replied yes. To my surprise the food was ready for collection and wrapped. We had a very big order. The food was tasty and good portions. Nothing overcooked or too heavy!! Must try if you like oriental and Egyptian food
The Place is very good, the service is super excellent and the vibes are exceptional Thanks to Ahmed el Qenawy for the hospitality he showed and the fast responses that made the family felt the place is their own place.. Btw the place is very good selection for Families
Really grateful service! We are group of 35 people, had 11 different bills. Administration and stuff arranged everything excellent and in time. We prepared by one day and enjoyed food and atmosphere 👌🏼
Amazing experience at Khan Azzouz. The place is has a nice beach front views. We had dinner which as above expectations. Meat and chicken were of good quality cooked well to tenderness. Service was fast and staff are polite and helpful. Prices are really reasonable. Highly recommended
